The MKKU team led by Sanguinetti Sensei traveled to Okinawa to participate in the 2nd Annual International MKKU Gasshuku and in the 1st Memorial Demonstration in honor of Matayoshi Sensei. The team trained for two weeks in the Kodokan Dojo, the Budokan and the Gym of the Post Office. In addition to our team were other delegations from countries such Argentina, Canada, Belgium, Italy, India, Australia, France, Switzerland, Germany and mainland Japan. The visit included training in Kobudo and Karate, demonstration in the Memorial, and sight seeing to landmarks of Kobudo and Karate. As a result of the friendship between Yamashiro Sensei and Sanguinetti Sensei, the MKKU team received the special treat of being invited to participate and perform a demonstration at the Tsuna Hiki Festival in Itoman Village. The team was also treated to a martial art and Taiko drums demonstrations and a BBQ at Yamashiro Sensei Dojo after the Festival.
