The 3rd Annual International MKKU Gasshuku
brought a new taste to the MKKU family. This time among the delegations from
different corners from the USA such as from Nebraska, Washington, Iowa, New
York, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Dakota, and California, we had the
attendance of our new country member Venezuela and from Belgium. Also this
year the Gasshuku was increased to four days training to maximize the benefit
of the instruction of Gakiya Sensei, Itokazu Sensei and Murayama Sensei. The
four days training was extended to instructors and students. Instructors trained
separately the first day under the tutelage of Gakiya Sensei; whom this year
introduced everyone to weapons such Nunti and Eku. Sanguinetti Sensei and
Stolsmark Sensei were the only ones to be able to work out with Sansetsukon
for their higher rank. Attendees received a special treat on Friday afternoon
with a Karate class in Kounan Ryu by Itokazu Sensei (8th Dan) and Pangainon
Ryu by Murayama Sensei (7th Dan).
