The program at Mira Costa College is to focus to teach the principals of self-defense techniques to women that do not have the time to learn the skills on a continuous basis, this means to attend a martial art school (Dojo) for a long period of time. Sanguinetti Sensei has been involved in teaching this program at the college since 1995 with remarkable results. Sanguinetti Sensei has designed this course to incorporate the most basic and efficient elements necessary to bring every participant in the class to the point to be able to live their lives with a feeling of confidence and a sense of full awareness of their surroundings, and to be capable to recognize and react properly to a dangerous situation. The program is based on four classes per semester, where each class is designed to build onto the next one creating a consecutive progression. Sanguinetti Sensei constantly stresses throughout the implementation of the course the importance of being able to react to any dangerous situation as second nature, a concept one acquires only under constant repetition through the practice.

Even though this program is offered through the Mira Costa College as part of the adult's education, Sanguinetti Sensei accepts teen-agers participating in the class accompanied by an adult.
